School Board

As the governing body of Little Falls Community Schools (ISD 482), the School Board plays a vital role in shaping the educational landscape of our community. The Board is primarily responsible for establishing district policy, appointing the Superintendent, and maintaining rigorous fiscal oversight through the approval of the annual budget.

Composition & Leadership

The Board is comprised of six dedicated residents who serve the entire district as Directors. To ensure continuity and stability in leadership, members serve staggered four-year terms. Each year, the Board internalizes its leadership by electing a Board Chair, Clerk, and Treasurer from within its ranks.

Elections & Terms

To maintain a transparent and democratic process:

  • Elections: Held every November of even-numbered years.

  • Cycles: Three seats are up for election during each cycle.

  • Service: New terms officially commence on January 1.
