Adult Basic Education

The Adult Basic Education and GED program is offered through Freshwater Education District and is housed at the Little Falls Community Middle School.

Earn your Standard Adult High School Diploma

You can finish your high school diploma no matter when you stopped! At Central Minnesota - North Adult Basic Education (ABE) we help adults. Central MN - North ABE is a regional partnership between 15 school districts. Adult learners in these communities are served at numerous learning sites during daytime and evening class hours throughout the year. Central Minnesota ABE welcomes all adults, 17 or over, who are not currently enrolled in a regular school program.

If you or someone you know is looking to improve basic reading, writing or math skills, earn a High School Equivalency Diploma/General Education Diploma (GED) or  improve English language skills (ESL), we can help. We offer a flexible schedule of classes designed to fit the lives of busy adults. Support services are also available to help learners participate in classes and programs.

Some of these include:

  • Basic Computer Skills Classes
  • Transitions
  • Job Searches
  • Career Exploration

Our experienced and talented staff of professionals include licensed teachers and volunteer tutors and others. We are here to support you as you achieve your goals. If you are at least 17 years of age and are not currently enrolled in a regular school program, please contact us today.
