Business Office

The Little Falls Community Schools Business Office supports the district’s strategic goals by managing the resources that keep our schools strong, safe, and student-focused. The team leads the development of the annual budget, oversees the levy process, and partners in the yearly financial audit to ensure transparency and accountability.

They coordinate key operational functions that directly support student success - transportation, food service, payroll, purchasing, and the care of our facilities and grounds. Their work helps maintain stable, efficient systems so classrooms can thrive.

Guided by the School Board, the Business Office relies on responsible forecasting and conservative budgeting practices to protect the long-term financial health of the district. The team also manages all expenditures connected to voter-approved referendum projects, keeping the community informed and dollars aligned with district priorities.

Each year, the district completes an independent audit conducted by Schlenner Wenner. In late spring, the School Board adopts the budget for the upcoming fiscal year, which begins July 1 and ends June 30.

According to statute “the board must post the Budget Publication in a conspicuous place on the district’s official website”, including a link to the district’s school report card on the Department of Education’s website.
