Screening

The early childhood years from birth to the start of kindergarten are an important time of rapid learning and growth. Early Childhood Screening determines how your child is growing and developing. Between the ages of 3 and 4, screening can detect possible health or learning concerns, so that children can get help before they start kindergarten. At your child’s screening, a trained professional will check your child’s vision, hearing, immunization (shots) status, large & small muscle, thinking, language and communication skills. Early childhood screening is required prior to public kindergarten entrance but recommended around the age of 3 ½. Your child must be screened within 90 days of the first day of class.
